This weekend is full of excitement! The annual three-day ElkFest Outdoor Music Festival in Browne's Addition kicks off tomorrow. There's the Farm Chicks Antique Show at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center Saturday and Sunday. The Steam Plant hosts Furrst Friday (in conjunction with Spokane's monthly First Friday Artwalk) to benefit Area Animal Shelters. The Washington Idaho Symphony presents Science, Symphony and Sweets this Saturday at the Palouse Discovery Science Center in Pullman. And Riverstone kicks off its Thursday Night Street Fair tonight! Oh ... if you're in the mood for breakfast, Chef Dave Adlard is teaching his Breakfast with a Bang Cooking Class tonight at The Culinary Stone in Coeur d'Alene. The Cellar now serving Lunch Daily, Coeur d'Alene

Fri. June 6th ~ Furrst Friday Event to Benefit Area Animal Shelters at The Steam Plant
 Spokane's historic Steam Plant is host to a the second annual Furrst Friday Art + Animals, a twist on First Friday to support area animal shelters. 4 to 8pm this Friday. The Spokane Humane Society, SCRAPS and SpokAnimal will be at the Steam Plant with their adoptable animals to meet and pet. Artists Steve Merryman, Marilyn Meyer, Daris Judd and Philip Dhillon, along with others, will have their artwork on display, which captures the art of animals. There will also be natural pet treats from Kritter Kookies and an appearance from Canines vs Cancer, crafts for children and adults, and samples of handcrafted brews from the Steam Plant Brewing Co. The event is free to attend and open to all ages, and will be held in the breezeway parking area between the two Steam Plant buildings. Donation opportunities will be available at the event, and a portion of art sales will also be donated to the shelters. The Steam Plant is located at 159 S. Sat. June 7th ~ Science, Symphony and Sweets at the Palouse Discovery Science Center in Pullman
 The Washington Idaho Symphony presents Science, Symphony and Sweets Saturday, June 7th. Experience how music works with the Washington Idaho Symphony at this exciting event at the Palouse Discovery Science Center! Listen and interact with members of the Washington Idaho Symphony while enjoying the cool, hands-on science displays of the Palouse Discovery Science Center and tasty treats brought to you by Sweet Mutiny Froyo and Cupcakes of Pullman. Children of all ages along with adults are invited to learn about classical music and enjoy this interactive learning experience! There will be terrific music, great treats and some fun free musical giveaways that you can take home and enjoy. One of Spokane's most loved events of the year is happening this weekend! The 10th annual Elkfest is a free outdoor indie music fest, which draws more than 10,000 fans each year and has the reputation for being Spokane's best and only real neighborhood party each summer on the streets of our historic Browne's Addition neighborhood. This year's ElkFest runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 6th through 8th. The weather forecast shows a weekend filled with warm sunshine, so don't miss out on this fantastic music event! Sat. June 7th & Sun. June 8th ~ The Farm Chicks Antique Show at Spokane County Fair and Expo Center
It's that time of year again for the annual Farm Chicks Antique Show, a treasure hunter's dream weekend. Guests will be surrounded by 300 vendors offering everything from vintage objects, handmade goods, antiques, jewelry, signs and recycled and up-cycled goodies! With the vendors at the show being artists and experienced vintage hunters, they often know the story behind their salvaged or found pieces, making the pieces that much more interesting. Food and drink is available at the show as well. Show hours are 9am to 6pm Saturday, and 9am to 4pm Sunday. Admission is $8 per day or $15 for a weekend pass. Parking is free.

Thurs. June 5th ~ Riverstone Street Fair in Coeur d'Alene
Every Thursday, all summer long, head to Riverstone in Coeur d'Alene where you can enjoy a weekly Street Fair, featuring lots of food, live music, farmers market and more! The Pour includes a pre-dinner grand tasting as well as a selection of wines that are perfectly paired with four delectable courses.
