Ball benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane at Spokane County Fair and Expo Center; Tina's Hope for the Cure Wine, Stein and Dine in Lewiston; Witches' Night Off Cabaret Benefit at the Bing Crosby Theater; Lost in the '50s takes place all weekend long in Sandpoint; Italian Flavors of Summer Cooking Class at the JACC; Arbor Crest Summer Concert Series Kick-off; and Coeur d'Alene Cellars Winemaker Dinner. Sat. May 17th ~ Tina's Hope for a Cure: Wine, Stein and Dine in Lewiston
This Saturday, 6 to 9pm, please attend this big cause for a small cost to help raise funds for the Cystinosis Research Foundation to find a cure. Held at Roger's Toyota Scion, tickets are just $50, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the foundation. Festivities include: international cuisine, award-winning beer and wine, music by Duet Riendeau, and the opportunity to bid on fabulous auction items. Mon. May 19th ~ Witches' Night Off: A Cabaret Benefit at Bing Crosby Theater in Spokane
This Monday starting at 7:30pm, a Cabaret Benefit featuring company members of the Broadway National Tour Wicked will take place at The Bing Crosby Theater. "Produced by company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their roles in the musical and kick up their heels performing some of their favorite non-Ozian material." The evening features live and silent auctions with the chance at some once-in-a-lifetime "wicked" experiences you'll never forget. The 6th Annual "Day of All Things Dog," Dog d'Alene, presented by Petco, is this Saturday, 10am to 3pm! At this year's event, your pooch can participate in the Best Trick Contest, Best Costume Contest, Musical Chairs and much much more. Thurs. May 15th & Sun. May 18th ~ Arbor Crest kicks off its Summer Concert Season
The concert season starts tonight with its Performers on the Patio, with music by guitarist and singer Bill Bozly starting at 5:30pm and continuing until 7:30pm. Not only will you enjoy live music but creative work of regional artists (tonight features jewelry by Juliann Colbert) and of course the award-winning flavors of Arbor Crest wines. There is no cover for this event. Sunday's Concert on the Cliff will feature Hot Club of Spokane with vocalist Abbey Crawford, 5:30pm until dusk. Cost is $8 at the gate.

Battle of the Homebrews is this Saturday, 11am to 6pm, at the Greyhound Park and Event Center in Post Falls. Fifty amateur homebrewers will be participating in this year's event, where they have the chance to win more than $5,000 in cash and prizes. The People's Choice winner will have their winning recipe brewed by Waddell's in Spokane. Admission is $20 and includes five 5-ounce tastes and one vote. Want to taste more? Extra sample cards for tastings are avilable for $5 each. (Admission is just $10 for non-tasters.) Food and wine are also available for purchase at the event.
