Celebrate Vanishing Ice This Winter at the McMichael
On January 31, the thought-provoking exhibition Vanishing Ice: Alpine and Polar Landscapes in Art, 1775-2012, will be unveiled at the McMichael. Weaving together art, science, and history, Vanishing Ice allows visitors to experience the majesty of sublime landscapes that have inspired artists for more than 200 years. More information

Vanishing Ice Festival
Sunday, February 8 and 15, and Monday, February 16 (Family Day)
The festival provides an opportunity to discuss the disappearance of ice and engage your family in the collective search for a solution. Partake in snowshoe hikes led by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and see the Melting Ice sculpture, to be installed on the McMichael's grounds. More information

Northern Narratives Exhibition Opens February 14
On February 14, the McMichael will debut Northern Narratives, an exhibition that expands upon the topic of the Arctic through works by members of the Group of Seven, including Lawren Harris's famed northern landscapes, as well as prints, drawings, and sculpture by Inuit artists. More information
