Living When It's Hard
Richard Cromie wrote a book entitled "How to Live with Cancer" in which he uses the acrostic C-A -N-C-E-R to develop his theme. While it certainly applies to cancer, I share it with you because it applies to many of life's hardships.
C - Conquer the fear. Christ will see you through.
A - Anticipate the struggle; your body's defenses will respond.
N - Never give up! One day, we all surrender, no one lives forever - but keep going, progress is being made all the time.
C - Call for help. Share with others how you feel; they love you, but you must tell them what you need.
E - Enjoy the time you have. Life is measured in days - live one day at a time, enjoying every minute.
R - Renew your faith. Only a few things matter in the end. Love matters. Hope matters. Faith matters. And you matter! Call upon the Lord - he cares.
In faith,

Pastor Tim

Congregational Meeting
Sunday, May 12, 9:30 am
There will be a congregational meeting Sunday, May 12, at the 9:30 a.m. worship service, to act on the following:
- Nomination of Carl Winchell for Deacon, Class of 2014
- Nomination of Sylvia Merrill, auditor, two-year term
- Motion to change the by-laws of the church to allow for up to 45 deacons to served on the Board of Deacons; fifteen deacons would serve in each class.
Reason: We currently have 35 deacons; the growth of the church results in more deacons being needed.
