Spring Educational Residencies, & More Coming
We were able to match grants from the Don Knabe Educational Partnership, the LA County Arts Commission, the California Arts Council (Creating Places of Value), and the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of LA (DCA LA) during the 2013-14 season. The last spring into summer ones included Taper Avenue Elementary in San Pedro (matched in partnership with Angels Gate Cultural Center), Chase El. and Liggett (DCA LA) and after school assignments from LA's Best at Rosemont, Saticoy, and Stonehurst. An exciting new project under the Community Health Council (CHC) allowed us to began a new after school program at Hillcrest Elementary. The larger framework is the REACH Demonstration Project, and more about that in the next E-News. We also begin partnership with another school in the ICEF District in August.

New Grants Received
New grants received for the coming season include another grant from the Don Knabe Educational Partnership, the LA County Arts Commission (a 2-year grant), the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of LA (DCA LA) for both education and the TriArt Festival, an intern grant from the LA County Arts Commission, and from the Knabe Music in Public Places for the Festival. We have also received a bloc of rehearsal time space grant from the Pennington Dance Group SPACE GRANTS@ ARC Pasadena and the Z. Clark Branson Foundation to work on new choreography.
Music Producer Needed
We are looking for an additional Music Producer to join our team for the SP ♥ TriArt Festival. This is an unpaid position, but has high visibility for the growing outside event (Sept 27 & 28) and a chance to design your sound vision with music groups. Contact Louise Reichlin at 213-385-1171 or email.
Auditions for 2 Dancers
We welcome new dancers Coree McKee and Kirby Harrell. We are still looking for several more male or female dancers who are available for our rehearsal times Tues/Thurs/Sun from 10am-1pm. See auditions notice here. Contact Louise Reichlin at 213-385-1171 or email.
