These opportunities are the direct result of a 4-panel, 4-color 11" x 19" mailer which I sent out in mid-May about my availability as a guest host or a new local host to 1,100 General Managers and Program Directors at 758 talk stations in the top 150 media markets from New York City to Montgomery, Alabama.

In addition, I have been making 60-90 phone calls per day across the nation to follow-up.  A number of the talk radio executives with whom I have spoken indicated that they were both surprised and pleased that I had personally called them.

My father, Mike McManus, always told me:  "Persistence is more importance than competence, but competence helps!"  Hyperbolic to be sure.  But nothing can replace an unswerving determination -- no matter the obstacle.

I'm convinced that there is a need for talk show hosts in local communities who will speak the truth with boldness to a morally confused culture.
