St. Michael's, Germantown Votes To Close
Your prayers are requested for the congregation of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Germantown, which voted July 31 to close. St. Michael's has served the Germantown neighborhood since 1728. Your presence is requested for the final worship service on Sunday, September 11 at 3 pm. Bishop Burkat will preside. Clergy are invited to vest and process; the color of the day is white. Thanks be to God for St. Michael's 288 years of faithful ministry!

Bishop Burkat has appointed a Compensation Study Task Force that will recommend salaries for active rostered leaders serving in the Synod. Clergy Family Systems Training
A new session begins in September! This 8-session Continuing Education course provides clergy the opportunity to learn and apply Bowen Family Systems Theory to congregational and organizational leadership. By learning theory, one can begin to "think" systems and gain insight into how to better manage self in challenging or conflicted situations. Dates are: 9/26, 10/24, 11/28, 1/23. 2/27, 3/27, 4/24 and 5/22, from 9:30 am to 3 pm at Pennington United Methodist Church, Pennington, NJ
