Dear youth and parents,
I was in Houston for the Chi Rho Mission Trip this week, and our middle school youth and adult chaperones had a great experience working at the Houston Food Bank and checking out some of the sights around the city. Below are a few pictures from the week:

RSVP today for Wednesday's Chi Rho outing to Main Event
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UCC's Chi Rho youth (completed grades 6-8) will be playing at Main Event on Wednesday afternoon, June 15. The group will meet at UCC at 1 p.m. to carpool over (or meet us at Main Event at 1:30) and return around 4:30 p.m. (or pick up at Main Event at 4). For only $15, each youth gets an hour of bowling, a game of laser tag, $10 worth of arcade tokens, two slices of pizza, and a drink. This is a great opportunity to invite friends to a church outing, so feel free to do so. We must provide a headcount several days in advance, so e-mail me at tyler.heston@uccftw.com to RSVP today (Friday, June 10)! PARENTS: If you are able to drive please e-mail me and let me know how many youth you can transport in your vehicle. We will need several adults to take youth to Main Event and several to pick up when we finish.
Volunteer with refugees here in Fort Worth on June 18
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On June 18 we're hosting a booth at World Refugee Day in the gymnasium at Resource Connection, Fort Worth (2300 Circle Drive). We will be playing Round up the Farm and life-size Kerplunk to celebrate with refugee families and make them feel more at home and welcome in our Forth Worth community. Games last from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and we will have UCC t-shirts to wear to the event.
Contact Allison Bright to let her know what times work best for you or your child at allison.bright@uccftw.com. We hope to see you there!

We have two great mission trips planned for this summer, one for grades 6-8 and one for grades 9-12. Registration for the Chi Rho Mission Trip to Houston has ended, but information on the high school trip to LA is below: The CYF Mission Trip to Los Angeles for grades 9-12 will take place July 16-23. The group will be working at Loch Leven (a Disciple church camp in the San Bernardino Mountains) and All Peoples Community Center (a Disciple mission center in south LA). Outside of work time the group will also take a tour of Chapman University and spend a day at Disneyland. Cost is $475 per person and full or half scholarships are available upon request. Full details are available on the registration flyer. Registration deadline is June 19.
You can register for the mission trip two different ways: 1. Sign up and pay the deposit online at uccyouth.org/missiontrips, or 2. Submit a registration flyer (linked above) to the youth office with a deposit check
