Dear youth and parents,

It was great to see so many of you at Christmas Angels Wrap Night this past Sunday! We had so many volunteers that we were able to finish up well over an hour early, and the teamwork across generations to help kids in our community was really amazing to watch. Thanks to everyone who supported this vital ministry in so many different ways!

CYF Ski Retreat departs for Colorado tomorrow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A group of 36 high school youth and adult sponsors will be loading a bus tomorrow morning for the CYF Ski Retreat. The group will be skiing and snowboarding for two days at Monarch Mountain Resort, lodging and dining in nearby Salida, and returning on December 22. Please keep this group in your prayers as they grow closer to God and one another (and hopefully stay safe on the slopes!), and watch the UCC Youth Facebook page for photos during the trip.
Trip participants: Remember to meet at UCC at 6:30 a.m. to load the bus.
Final Sunday to find creative presents at Gifts Of Hope
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looking for creative and meaningful gifts for people on your list this year? Stop by the Arches Information Desk this Sunday to purchase items from UCC's 16th annual Gifts of Hope Market! Your gifts will benefit charitable organizations such as The Children's Closet, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Heifer International, Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries and many more. Your friends and family will feel honored that food, clothes, or even farm animals will be purchased with your gift dollars. The gifts are inexpensive and fun!

This Sunday morning is the last time volunteers will be at the Arches Information Desk selling Gifts of Hope, so stop by and make a difference this Christmas!

Join us for Christmas Eve at University Christian Church

University Christian Church will again offer four different Christmas Eve services, providing a great opportunity to invite friends and family to our church for one of these meaningful worship experiences. This year we will offer services at noon, 5 p.m., 8 p.m., and 11 p.m.  Click here for information on each of the services, and feel free to share the promotional video below to invite people to worship with us:

Final football parking fundraiser of the year December 29
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Football season is almost over, and youth and parents have one more opportunity to raise money by parking cars in the church lots for a football game. Part of the money  raised goes into youth and youth handbell choir reserve funds, and part goes into the individual accounts of those who work each game to use for camps, retreats, trips, and other church events. This year, each hour is worth $50 per family member who works.
The Armed Forces Bowl will be held at Amon G. Carter Stadium on December 29, when California takes on Air Force. Kickoff is at 1 p.m., and we will need volunteers in shifts from 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. to direct cars and take money for our parking lots. To see which slots are available and reserve your shift (up to 3 hours), click the button below:
Snack supper volunteers needed for next semester
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Snack supper graphic
Youth parents! See the youth up close, personal and appreciative by serving Snack Supper on Sunday night. Snack supper is a great way to see and get to know the youth, and it's fun!

The commitment is for one Sunday evening, from about 5:30-6:45 p.m., plus cooking or shopping time - you decide how much time you want to spend on preparation. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. in the third floor kitchen for around 50 youth, children, and college students. All the paper goods, cutlery, drink supplies, and most condiments are there for you. You provide the food, fix lemonade (provided), serve everything, and clean up.

The third floor kitchen can be used anytime after 2:30 p.m. on Sundays for advance prep. (Sandwiches are just as popular as anything else, so cooking isn't required if that's not your thing.) If you prefer to purchase all or part of the food already prepared, that's great too. There's also a fridge and freezer you can stash things in. You can choose to donate the meal, or you can be reimbursed up to $100 if you provide itemized receipts. You will receive a reminder e-mail the week before your snack supper that includes additional useful tips and suggested menus.
