Dear youth and parents,
It was great to see so many youth volunteering at our annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Sunday! Many of our youth ran games for the little trick-or-treaters, and several decorated their trunks and passed out candy. Here are a couple of those trunks below:

Dallas Stars hockey outing November 21 - RSVP today!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 
Our middle and high school youth will be taking the train to the American Airlines Center to see the Dallas Stars take on the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, November 21. For each ticket we purchase ($20 each), the Stars will donate a ticket to Buckner International so that an adoptive family can enjoy a hockey game together this season.
The group will check in at the T&P train station starting at 5 p.m. to take the 5:20 train to Dallas, and will return to the station around 11:15 p.m. (If you would prefer to drive and meet the group at the game, you're welcome to do so.) We have a block of 25 tickets reserved for our group, and once those are claimed additional ticket availability is not guaranteed. Click here to reserve your ticket for the game.
Adults: You are welcome to join us as a chaperone, just be sure to indicate that on the reservation form.

Disciples Class prepares youth for baptism or confirmation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 
Youth in grades 6-12 interested in learning more about baptism/confirmation and church membership are encouraged to participate in this year's Disciples Class. The 12-week course provides a helpful introduction to what it means to confess your faith, join the church, be baptized or confirmed, take communion, share your gifts, and more! This year's class will take place on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. beginning on December 6, and there is an orientation for all parents and participants on November 15. Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival cast sign-ups Nov. 8

Come celebrate UCC's 40th annual Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival by being a part of the performing cast or helping in the many behind the scenes volunteer opportunities that support the performance. Cast and volunteer sign up for the festival will take place in The Arches on Sunday, November 8, 8:30-10 a.m. and and 12-1 p.m.

UCC's stewardship campaign for 2016 is underway, and this year's theme is "With A Little Faith, We Can Move Mountains." Please prayerfully consider your pledge commitment for the coming year and respond by turning in your pledge card or pledge online here by October 31.
