Dear youth and parents,

I returned to the office this week after concluding my 3-month sabbatical, and I've been hustling to catch up ever since. (In fact, I'm still working my way back through 12 weeks of e-mails.) I really enjoyed the time away, and I'm returning with lots of ideas and perspective that I think will be beneficial to our youth ministry and our church. I'll look forward to sharing more about my experience in the week to come. HUGE THANKS to Alison, Michael, Susan, and the rest of the UCC staff who covered my duties while I was away.

Read on for details on tonight's CYF Lock-In, Camp Registration Sunday, and more.

Grace and peace,
Russ

Camp and mission trip registration day is this Sunday!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Disciples Crossing cross
Camp Sign Up Day is this Sunday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the east bay of Walker Fellowship Hall. Youth staff and volunteers will have the list of camps and mission trips, the reduced price list (UCC pays half the camp fee automatically), and a chart of all parking account funds for your convenience. They can assist you in person with your amount due.
We will have a number of laptops set up to expedite your registration. Signing up for summer camps this year is a two step process: Go to uccyouth.org/camps to sign up with UCC and pay for the camp, then you will automatically be forwarded to disciplescrossing.org to complete Disciples Crossing's registration and health forms.
The UCC discount and any parking funds or scholarship monies can be selected on UCC's registration and payment page before proceeding to the camp website.
To download a tally sheet that includes a complete list of camps, mission trips, and prices, click here and get a head start on the sign up process!
Snack supper volunteer needed for Sunday, April 26
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Youth parents! See the youth up close, personal and appreciative by serving Snack  Supper on Sunday night. Snack supper is a great way to see and get to know the youth, and it's fun!

The commitment is for one Sunday evening, from about 5:45-7 p.m., plus cooking or shopping time - you decide how much time you want to spend on preparation. Dinner is served at 6:15 p.m. in the third floor kitchen for 30-40 youth, children, and college students. All the paper goods, cutlery, drink supplies, and most condiments are there for you. You provide the food, fix lemonade (provided), serve everything and clean up. You can choose to donate the meal, or you can be reimbursed up to $100 if you provide itemized receipts. You will receive a reminder
e-mail the week before your snack supper that includes additional useful tips and suggested menus.

The third floor kitchen can be used anytime after 2:30 p.m. on Sundays for advance prep. (Sandwiches are just as popular as anything else, so cooking isn't required if that's not your thing.) If you prefer to purchase all or part of the food already prepared, that's great too. There's also a fridge and freezer you can stash things in. everything and clean up. You can choose to donate the meal, or you can be reimbursed up to $100 if you provide itemized receipts. You will receive a reminder e-mail the week before your snack supper that includes additional useful tips and suggested menus.
