Dear youth and parents,

It was great to see so many of you in church this past Sunday, and we had an excellent start to the new program year in our Sunday school classes. I also appreciate all of the positive feedback on my sermon, and wanted to let you know that the video is available on the UCC website here if you were unable to be present for worship.

TCU kicks off a new football season tomorrow, which means it's also our first football parking fundraiser of the year. Read on for more information on how the fundraiser works, plus a few notes about our Sunday evening youth groups that will get rolling on September 7.

Grace and Peace,
Russ

First youth football parking fundraiser is tomorrow

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TCU Logo ~~~~~~~
Football season is here again, and youth and parents have the opportunity to raise money by parking cars in the church lots for TCU football games. Part of the money raised goes into youth and youth handbell choir reserve funds, and part goes into the individual accounts of those who work each game to use for camps, retreats, trips, and other church events. This year, each hour is worth $50 per family member who works.
The first TCU home game is Saturday, August 30 against Samford. Kickoff is at 6:00 p.m., and we will need volunteers in shifts from 1:30 - 6:30 p.m. to control access to our season parking lots and direct cars/take money for the daily parking lots. You can reserve your shifts with an online sign-up sheet through SignUpGenius, which will help us ensure we have enough volunteers throughout the day. Click here to reserve your time slots for the first game.
If all of the slots are full, you are still welcome to show up, sign in, and help out at whatever time works for you!
Sunday evening youth groups begin on September 7
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Our regular Sunday evening youth programs begin on September 7, and all youth in grades 6-12 will be gathering for prayer, play, discussion, service, bonding, and more. Here's the Sunday evening schedule:

4:30 p.m. - Game room and prayer room are open
5:00 - Chi Rho (grades 6-8) and CYF (9-12) youth groups
6:15 - Snack supper in 3rd floor kitchen ($3)

6:45 - You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here

Our Sunday night program for children (CCF/JYF) will follow the same schedule, and younger kids are welcome to come up and join us for dinner at 6:15 following the end of their group meetings.
