Dear youth and parents,
It was great to see so many of you at the Youth Family Roundup this past Sunday morning. We had over 100 youth and parents in Fellowship Hall for the event, and I hope it proved helpful in prepping for a new year of youth ministry programming here at UCC. I want to offer a big public THANK YOU to the members of the Youth Ministry Committee who shared their time by helping with the Roundup. Jennifer Lanter did a FABULOUS job of creating a fun, festive atmosphere with the décor, and our YM committee helpers set a great tone by greeting people and making them feel welcome after finishing up the decorations. We have a great group serving on the committee this year, and I'm thankful for every one of them!
This Sunday all youth and children will move up to their new classes for the year, and we have some fun activities planned for after church. Read on for more information
on the great things in store this Sunday, along with info on our first TCU football parking fundraiser that's coming up soon.
Grace and Peace, Russ |

First football parking fundraiser is Saturday, August 30 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~
Football season is here again, and youth and parents have the opportunity to raise money by parking cars in the church lots for TCU football games. Part of the money raised goes into youth and youth handbell choir reserve funds, and part goes into the individual accounts of those who work each game to use for camps, retreats, trips, and other church events. This year, each hour is worth $50 per family member who works. The first TCU home game is Saturday, August 30 against Samford. Kickoff is at 6:00 p.m., and we will need volunteers in shifts from 2:00 - 6:30 p.m. to control access to our season parking lots and direct cars/take money for the daily parking lots. You can reserve your shifts with an online sign-up sheet through SignUpGenius, which will help us ensure we have enough volunteers throughout the day. Click here to reserve your time slots for the first game.
