Dear youth and parents,
I returned on Wednesday night from a great Chi Rho Mission Trip with our middle school youth. We had the opportunity to volunteer at several different organizations in Austin, and to tour several others to get a bigger picture of the needs in the city and ways to help make a difference. Our youth and sponsors were respectful, hard working, and flexible - which is about the best I can ask for from a mission group! I will be departing for the CYF Mission Trip a week from this Sunday, and I'm looking forward to more great opportunities to learn and serve alongside our high school youth and adult sponsors.

Last Sunday to buy mission trip stock and support the trips!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~
Our congregation has an opportunity to buy stock in our youth mission trips at the table located in the Gallery on Sunday mornings. At $10 per share, the stock will fund work projects on the Yakama Indian Reservation and earns an invitation to a "shareholders luncheon" at the end of the summer to hear about the trips. If you or your child can't make the trip, this is a great way to support youth missions and get an exclusive report about the trips afterward. Just stop by the table in the Gallery after either worship service or Sunday school this Sunday and one of the trip participants will be happy to help you.

Youth VBS volunteer training luncheon this Sunday

 All 6th-12th grade youth who have signed up to help with Vacation Bible School will gather on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. for a volunteer training meeting in Room 211. The training will be over by 1:00 and lunch will be provided.

UCC Youth summer fellowship events - join the fun!

UCC's youth ministry is sponsoring a number of fun fellowship events this summer, so be sure to mark your calendars. Here's what's coming up:
Chi Rho (completed grades 6-8)
June 25: Outing to Main Event - 1 p.m.
July 30: Swim day at Forest Park Pool - TBD
August 13: Texas Rangers game - 6 p.m.
CYF (completed grades 9-12)
July 11: Outing to play Whirlyball - 7 p.m.
July 30: Outdoor movie night in Sundance Plaza - 8:00 p.m.
August 13: Texas Rangers game - 6 p.m.
