Dear youth and parents,

I hope that you were able to be a part of the Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival this past weekend. It was, as always, an uplifting way to end the Christmas season and move into the new year. Speaking of which, there are a lot of great opportunities to get involved at UCC in 2014.  One update for this week: I mentioned in the last e-news that the "Just Say Know" sexuality education course for high schoolers kicks off on Sunday afternoon, but I neglected to say that we're offering the first session as a "free preview" for anyone who thinks they may be interested but isn't sure if they want to commit to the whole course.  All UCC 9th-12th graders (and friends) are welcome to come check out the first session of the course from 12:15-2:30 p.m. on Sunday (lunch provided - we'll order some extra).  The first session will take place in the 3rd floor kitchen.

Read on for more information on the other Just Say Know workshops, midwinter youth retreats at Disciples Crossing, two great videos produced by our 9th/10th grade Sunday school class, a concert by the Chapman University Singers (and an opportunity to learn about scholarship opportunities at Chapman), and more.

Grace and Peace,
Russ
