Dear youth and parents,
We're gearing up for a big week as many of our middle school youth depart for Chi Rho Camp at Disciples Crossing on Monday and 28 middle and high school youth prepare to serve as leaders and helpers at Vacation Bible School this week. Alison will be heading to Athens on Sunday with the other camp counselors and staff, while Jessica, the Amandas, and I will all be here next week assisting with VBS.

Youth VBS volunteer training Sunday night, then FroYo

All 6th-12th grade youth who have signed up to help with Vacation Bible School will gather on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. for a volunteer training meeting in Room 211. The training will last approximately 30 minutes, and all youth volunteers are invited to frozen yogurt at Sweet Frog with the youth ministry staff after the meeting (our treat). If you can join us, we will walk down the street after the meeting and your parents can pick you up any time between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

Last day to buy mission trip stock and support work projects
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~
This Sunday morning marks the last day our congregation can buy stock in our youth mission trips at the table located in the Gallery. At $10 per share, the stock will fund work projects in Memphis and earns an invitation to a "shareholders luncheon" at the end of the summer to hear about the trips. If you or your child can't make the trip, this is a great way to support youth missions and get an exclusive report about the trips afterward. Just stop by the table in the Gallery on Sunday morning after either worship service or Sunday school.

Mission Market supports the Nicaragua mission this Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Shop UCC's "mission market" this Sunday at the tables near the reception desk and support UCC's Mission Pilgrimage to Nicaragua. Buy Nicaraguan coffee donated by Central Market, bracelets woven by the women and children of Project Chacocente, and Toms shoes and sunglasses. In addition to the standard "one for one" program, Toms will donate a percentage of the proceeds to our Nicaragua Mission. (The more we sell, the higher the percentage!) Cash, check to UCC, and credit cards are welcome. The market will be open 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m.

UCC Youth summer fellowship events - join the fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~ UCC's youth ministry is sponsoring a number of fun fellowship events this summer, so be sure to mark your calendars. Here's what's coming up:
Chi Rho (completed grades 6-8)
July 10: Outing to Main Event - 1 p.m.
July 30: Texas Rangers ballgame - 5:30 p.m.
August 2: Outing to Burger's Lake - 1 p.m.
CYF (completed grades 9-12)
June 28: Outing to play Whirlyball - 1 p.m.
July 11: Outing to Coyote Drive-In - 8 p.m.
July 30: Texas Rangers ballgame - 5:30 p.m.
