Ruth Chambers - Volunteer of the Year

Dallas County Republican Party recognized Ruth Chambers for being a volunteer of the year. The award was presented at the annual Reagan Day Dinner. (Click here for more pictures of Reagan Day) She puts in time every week at headquarters answering phone calls and keeping spirits up at
the office. Ruth attends every event with a big smile on her face and a servant's heart. She welcomes everyone and makes them feel like they belong in the Republican Party. Ruth is a great asset to the county and to this club. We are very proud of you Ruth!  Thank you for all your hard work!

Park Cities Republican Women were well represented at Dallas County Republican Party's Reagan Day Dinner.

Wade Emmert, the Dallas County Republican Party Chairman,  addressed the state of Dallas County at our last meeting. Chairman Emmert enumerated the strengths of Dallas County but urged each of us to commit ourselves to strengthening the Republican Party and winning back Dallas County. The county will open a Victory Center within a stone's throw of DCRP Headquarters. The Victory Center will serve as the hub for the general election. Our signs, grassroots, community engagement, phone banking, meetings, and training will be at the Victory Center. DCRP has expanded Hispanic outreach with the addition of a new staff member, Brian Flores. Mr. Flores takes the Republican message to communities across the county. Now is the time to volunteer and join us as we fight back and win Dallas County.

Texas Independence Day was March 2, and Sen. Cruz released the following statement:  "Courage and a love of liberty have long been defining characteristics of the Texas spirit. Both were exemplified 178 years ago when fifty-nine delegates convened in Independence Hall at Washington-on-the-Brazos to declare Texas' independence...General Santa Anna's refusal to abide by the Mexican Constitution of 1824 and inspired by the United States' first Declaration of Independence, the men produced their own Declaration and resolved 'that the people of Texas do now constitute a free, Sovereign, and independent republic'....Keep that resolve strong ..."
