Big Screen Bowling
|
Here's a sampling of what I've been working on lately for my clients:
- An article for dental trade publications on how to choose a professional refiner for dental scrap metal.
- A feature story on movies set in the world of bowling. "The Big Lebowski," "Kingpin" and much more.
- Media relations for the maker of a sports nutrition supplement.
Book 'Em Looking for a good read? This month I recommend:
The Lincoln Lawyer (Michael Connelly)
I confess that I skipped the movie version with (now Oscar-winner) Matthew McConaughey because the billboard campaign was dull. Now I'm glad I did, because it would have spoiled this taut thriller for me. Mickey Haller is a cynical, hustling L.A. defense attorney who gets more than he bargained for when his high-retainer "franchise" case puts him and his family at risk.
Another strong outing from former L.A. Times reporter Connelly, creator of hard-boiled detective Harry Bosch. 'Brisk pacing, clever twists, artful writing, and an atmosphere of complete authority. Another terrific book from a terrific writer." - Scott Turow
