How do we build an energy efficient NW? - Webinar Discussion

Energy efficiency encourages jobs, affordability, competitiveness and resiliency throughout the Pacific Northwest. To address the challenges of energy affordability, sustainability, climate adaptation, and economic development, the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) is developing a Roadmap to Resilient, NetZero Buildings and Deep Energy Retrofits by 2030.

You are invited to join your colleagues in the energy efficiency, sustainability, workforce, and economic development fields on June 23rd as we discuss the most recent progress on the Roadmap. Learn about the 16 case studies of upgrades to new and existing buildings that span across all ten PNWER jurisdictionsalong with opportunities to collaborate with the Steering Committee, and how cutting edge organizations can sponsor this innovative public/private initiative.

This roadmap focuses on two targets, premised on energy efficiency improvements in residential, commercial, public sector and industrial settings:

1) Facilitate the achievement of net zero emissions for new houses and buildings by 2030, including achievement of an energy efficiency target and use of clean energy supplies.

2) Encourage "deep" energy retrofits of existing buildings that optimize the economics of energy efficiency upgrades to lower energy bills and emissions.

Join Paul Manson, Director, Seabreeze Power Corps and Andrew Pape-Salmon, P.Eng., MRM, Senior Specialist - Energy, RDH Building Engineering Ltd. for this discussion on defining the way forward to an energy efficient Pacific Northwest.
