1) Registration
The registration table is located on the third floor of the Hyatt at Olive 8, and opens at 7:00 a.m. Please note that there are three Hyatts in downtown Seattle; ours is at the intersection of Olive St. and 8th Ave. (1635 8th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101).
2) Hospitality Suite
Please note that our Hospitality Suite has moved from the 16th floor to the 17th floor, in Suite Number 1734 (The Presidential Suite). Join us tonight for mingling and light snacks and drinks!
3) Free tour of the Bullitt Center tomorrow Don't miss a free tour of the world's greenest commercial building tomorrow! Meet in the ballroom foyer at 2:45 p.m. No sign-up required.
4) Breakfast Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. sharp. Hear from Kat Taylor, CEO of Beneficial State Bank.
5) Lunch Join us for a luncheon plenary at 12:15 p.m. and catch the "Disruptors and Convergers: Entrepreneur Panel."

Policy Tour: Building a Biotech Cluster
In conjunction with We Work for Health, a group toured Nanostring Technologies, BioMed Realty Research Center Phase 2, and Kineta Pharmaceuticals. The tour provided participants with the opportunity to visit existing and future life sciences facilities in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. Participants also heard from a panel which included Egils Milbergs, Founder, Center for Accelerating Innovation; Dr. Brad Popavich, Ph.D, Chief Scientific Officer, Genome BC; Mike Ruhl, Senior Director, Leasing and Development, BioMed Realty; and Michael Woody, Partner, East End Group.
Pre-Meeting Session: Safeco Summit: Cooperate Regionally to Compete Globally
Participants enjoyed an informative pre-meeting session at Seattle's iconic Safeco Field on transportation infrastructure in Canada vs. the U.S. Hosted by the Seattle Mariners. the event featured the Coalition for America's Gateways and Trade Corridors; Washington State Railroad Caucus; Maritime Manufacturing Task Force; Seattle Freight Master Plan; Tacoma-Seattle Seaport Alliance and BNSF. The Summit included a tour, presentations and reception.

Glen Woodbury discusses disaster resilience with legislators.

Disaster Resilience for Legislators
Participants discussed and explored the roles and opportunities of legislators before, during and after disaster events; learned about the limits of current policy and strategy in disaster scenarios; and discussed ideas for future legislation and advanced understanding of the role a legislator can play in the post-disaster recovery phase. The conversation was moderated by Glen Woodbury, DIrector, Center for Homeland Defense and Security, Naval Postgraduate.

P3: Lessons from Canada
Topics covered included the history of P3s, project financing, and presenting models that have been successful in Canada. Attendees heard from provincial, state, and municipal governments as well as private sector companies involved in P3 projects in Canada and the U.S. A highlight was the luncheon keynote by Dianne Watts, Mayor of Surrey, B.C.
