Join "Building a Biotech Cluster," a Tour and Panel Discussion in Seattle's South Lake Union Life Sciences Hub
The Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) and We Work for Health are co-organizing "Building a Biotech Cluster," a life sciences facility tour and panel discussion on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 19. The tour will provide participants with the opportunity to visit existing and future life sciences facilities in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood, a major hub for biotech companies, research institutions and global health NGOs. Learn more about what creates and sustains a vibrant life sciences ecosystem, including key factors such as attracting and retaining human and intellectual capital, and collaboration between private, academic and non-profit institutions in life sciences sectors including biotech, global health and health informatics.

Panel Discussion After the tour, tour participants and additional attendees can attend a panel discussion with regional experts and leaders in life sciences policy, commerce and innovation. The panel discussion will be held at the Olive 8 Hyatt, 1635 8th Ave, Seattle, WA Moderator, Dr. Stewart Lyman Ph. D. Owner and Manager of Lyman BioPharma Consulting LLC in Seattle. Dr. Lyman provides advice to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies as well as academic researchers and venture capital firms. Previously, he spent 14 years as a scientist at Immunex prior to its acquisition by Amgen.
