NEWS: Converge@Seattle Innovation Summit

The Converge@Seattle Innovation Summit, held in partnership with the Economic Leadership Forum, announces several confirmed speakers. These sessions will take place on Thursday, November 20. PNWER and Converge attendees will join together Thursday morning to hear from the great line-up below. In the afternoon, PNWER attendees have the option of attending a workshop, Ocean Policy, or Workforce Development session.

Our Economic Leadership Forum will take place Nov. 19 - 22 in Seattle, Wash. This meeting provides an opportunity for local, state, and provincial leaders in both the public and private sectors to carry out in-depth, focused discussions on key subjects effecting our regional economy. Leaders from throughout the U.S. states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, and the Canadian provinces/territories of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Yukon and Northwest Territories will be in attendance tackling the policy matters that drive the economic strength of the region. PNWER will host the Winter Meeting in conjunction with two other conferences, including the Converge@Seattle Innovation Summit and an Invasive Species Workshop. Several of our working groups will also meet, including Ocean & Energy, Transportation & Market Access, Workforce, and Energy & Environment. A special session, Disaster Resilience for Legislators, will also be held during the Winter Meeting.
NOTE: A special Arctic Session is also being planned to discuss regional Arctic priorities.

Join the Energy and Environment working group at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 20th. The working group will discuss the PNWER Roadmap to NetZero Construction and Deep-Retrofits by 2030. The session will feature stakeholders in the regional energy efficiency field as they collaborate on the importance of energy efficiency in the Pacific Northwest's future.
The PNWER Roadmap to NetZero highlights the following benefits of energy efficiency: - Affordable energy bills for consumers.
- Demand for research, advanced knowledge, manufacturing and construction jobs in both rural and urban communities.
- Increase productivity and competitiveness across the built environment.
- Provide long-term resilience to the PNWER region.
