 You're invited to the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) Annual Summit in Whistler, British Columbia from July 20 - 24, 2014. PNWER is the only statutory, non-partisan, bi-national, public / private partnership in North America, with goals of strengthening relationships, finding cross-border solutions to common challenges, and advocating for regional interests.

In its 24th year, the PNWER Annual Summit brings together over 500 key business leaders, legislators, and government leaders from PNWER's ten states, provinces, and territories to address the major policy issues impacting the region.

After months of planning with our B.C. host committee, it's hard to believe the Summit is finally upon us. We look forward to seeing you in Whistler! More than 500 regional leaders in business and government have registered for the event. 

 

On Sunday morning, July 20, at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, we'll welcome delegates at the opening of registration. We hope you'll join us for the opening reception at 6 p.m. in the Woodlands Terrace, featuring Her Worship Nancy Wilhelm-Morden, Mayor of Whistler; PNWER President Sen. Kevin Ranker of Washington State; and a special First Nations welcome.

 

The Summit opening ceremonies will take place the following day, on Monday, July 21. You'll hear from Bill Cooper, President, Center for Liquefied Natural Gas, Washington, D.C.; and Dr. Andrew Walker, Vice President of Global LNG, BG Group. Through social media and our email newsletters, we'll be keeping you up-to-date throughout your stay in Whistler on news, developments and outcomes of all-things related to the Summit.

 

Already registered? Here's your last-minute to-do list! 

 

1) Sign up for a policy tour (read about them below!)

 

2) InternetComplimentary High Speed internet access is available for all delegates for use in your guestroom; internet is not provided in the meeting rooms. To receive free internet access, please sign up for the Fairmont President's Club BEFORE you arrive in Whistler. Guests can sign up for free here.

 

3) Is your spouse accompanying you? If your spouse would like to join us for Monday's Reception at the Roundhouse Blackcomb Roundhouse Lodge, they must register ahead of time. Look back in their registration to make sure they are good to go! Other spouse events will also be available on each day of the Summit to include walking tours of Whistler, bicycle trips, etc.
