Update from Host Committee Meeting

We would like to thank everybody who attended the Whistler Host Committee planning meeting this past week in Vancouver. We developed great ideas to make this year's summit a great success for B.C. Meeting proceedings and important documents are attached below.

Meeting Packet with Status Updates

A packet with status updates on the agenda, speakers, policy tours, and working group development was provided before the meeting. It is available here.

Please submit any suggestions for keynote speakers, themed events, working group topics, and policy tours. If you have any suggestions/feedback on these areas or know people who should be involved in the Host Committee, please submit them online here, fill out the feedback form or send an email to Jennifer at jennifer@pnwer.org.

The action items from the 2013 Summit for each working group are available. If you would like a brief overview document of any working group, please contact Jennifer.

We rely on subcommittees to provide guidance and local expertise on various aspects of the summit. An overview of each subcommittee is in the Host Committee Manual and the Meeting Packet.
After discussions this fall, we decided to combine the Sponsorship and Business Outreach subcommittees. Business outreach involves promoting the summit to other organizations, such as chambers and associations, and looking for groups that would like to co-host a lunch or other event.
We very much appreciate the work and time subcommittee members dedicate to creating a successful event. If you would like to join a subcommittee or are unable to participate, please let us know.

Recruiting local B.C. organizations as Summit sponsors is critical to ensuring a successful program. At the Host Committee meeting, the list of potential sponsors was distributed. Each company has been mailed a sponsorship packet. Click here to view the packet.
The Host Committee recommends organizations that would benefit from participating in the Summit. Also, we are asking Host Committee members to follow-up with a brief phone call to each organization. Please add new companies we should contact. If you know a particular individual, please let us know if you can speak with them on the value the Summit.
