You are invited to take part in the Phase 2 kickoff meeting of the Puget Sound Regional Maritime Transportation Disaster Recovery Exercise Program. This phase of the project will enable the members Puget Sound maritime transportation community (Ports of Olympia, Tacoma, Seattle, and Everett) to advance their capabilities to reinstate their respective operations quickly after a major earthquake. Phase II centers on the design, conduct, and evaluation of a regional exercise engaging the ports in USCG Sector Puget Sound, their customers/operators, their surrounding communities, and regional stakeholders to examine the larger regional interdependencies.
After the project kickoff meeting concludes, a Business Continuity Seminar will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM. This seminar is designed to provide an overview of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and provide some guidance and resources for business owners and operators interested in beginning a BCP process. We will present a basic introduction to BCP and an examination of nationally and internationally accepted practices to initiate, develop, and maintain a BCP process Please indicate in the registration process if you wish to attend this seminar.
