Legislative Leadership Academy
November 13-14
PNWER's Winter Meeting starts with the The Legislative Leadership Academy, which helps legislators develop important relationships with their counterparts across the border. The Academy provides an excellent opportunity for leaders in the Canadian provinces to understand how decisions are made at the U.S. federal and state levels, and conversely, allows U.S. legislative and executive-branch leaders to better understand how decisions are made in Canada.
Economic Leadership Forum
November 14-16
Regional legislators, business leaders and government stakeholders are invited to the annual Economic Leadership Forum directly following the Legislative Leadership Academy. This year, topics at the Economic Leadership Forum will include energy, innovation, market access, tourism, transportation and workforce development. Leaders from throughout PNWER's 10 states, provinces and territories will be in attendance tackling the policy matters that drive the economic strength of the region.
