"All parties, but most importantly, the people who live there, need to be a part of the dialogue about what happens to the Arctic." -
- Teresa Imm, Vice President of Resource Development,
Arctic Slope Regional Corporation
The second day of the PNWER Summit took some of us on an incredible journey through the pristine waters of the Prince William Sound and the stunning, lush greenery of Girdwood Alaska's Alyeska Resort. Delegates got to network, and take in the scenery, not to mention some wildlife; sea otters, whales and black bears to name a few! Thank you to our generous sponsor, Shell, for providing us with an unforgettable reception at Alyeska.

Tomorrow, the PNWER Summit moves to the Dena'ina Convention Center just down the street from the Downtown Anchorage Marriott hotel.
We're kicking off with an exploration of North American energy independence with the panel, "PNWER: the Energy Breadbasket of the Continent," featuring Drue Pearce, Institute of the North, and the Hon. Ken Hughes, Minister of Energy, Alberta, hosted by Spectra Energy.
Following morning sessions, Alaska's Governor Sean Parnell will address delegates during the keynote luncheon hosted by Puget Sound Energy.
The day concludes with a not-to-be-missed fur fashion show featuring a runway show with Alaskan furs and clothing, as well as an appearance by Miss Alaska USA. Thank you to our sponsor Carlile Transportation for supporting this event.
