Pine Tree ISD Supports Keep Longview Beautiful
in Annual Green and Clean

Pine Tree ISD supported the annual Green and Clean event in April by having the most volunteers participating in this city wide event.  PTISD was represented district wide from every campus.  This year's event resulted in a collection of 115 bags of trash with over 600 participants.  PTISD supports KLB and our city's future.

 Constance Massey selected to Mickelson
ExxonMobil Teachers Academy

Constance Massey, Pine Tree Middle School teacher, has been selected to attend the 2015 Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy for math and science teachers. This year's Academy will be July 27-31 at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. Massey will receive an all expense trip to this year's Academy.

The Send My Teacher website received an overwhelming response with more than 1,500 teachers from across the country applying. The selection panel based their decision on teacher qualifications, dedication to inspiring students and overall commitment to enhancing the teaching profession.

During the week-long Academy, participants will work with a curriculum developed by the National Science Teachers Association and Math Solutions. After the program, teachers will return to their classrooms reinvigorated with the passion to teach students how to be science literate, using hands-on experiments that show how math and science surround us daily.

Since 2005, more than 4,500 teachers have been trained at the Academy, impacting the lives of more than 300,000 students nationwide.

Congratulations, Ms. Massey!  PTISD is proud of you!
