Funders for LGBTQ Issues invites you to join us for a reception at this year's Council on Foundations conference in Chicago. There will be no formal program - just drinks, food, and a chance to mingle with your fellow LGBT grantmakers and allies in the field. Cheryl, formerly of Church World Services (CWS), will begin work shortly as the new Director, Global Religion at the Arcus Foundation. Best of luck, Cheryl!     

 

Desiree Flores 

Desiree, formerly of the Ms. Foundation, will begin work shortly as the new Director, U.S. Social Justice Program at the Arcus Foundation. Desiree was recently a Project Consultant at Funders for LGBTQ Issues, where she contributed greatly to the success of the 2013 LGBTQ Grantmakers Retreat.  Congratulations, Desiree!    

 

Laura Hughes

Laura, former Executive Director of the Ruth Ellis Center, has been hired as a Program Officer at The Skillman Foundation.  Best of luck, Laura!    

 

Dr. Jay Michaelson

Jay, the founder and executive director of Nehirim, a national Jewish LGBT organization, has been appointed Vice President, Social Justice Programs at the Arcus Foundation.  Congratulations, Jay!

Gunner Scott
