Americorps VISTA ReStore Community Outreach Position |
|
HFHMC is hiring an Americorps VISTA ReStore Community Outreach position to be the champion of outreach for the ReStore. As part of a small but powerful team, you will experience marketing up close and personal, including online presence/social media and advertising with the primary goal of increasing our capacity by growing our donations. You will expand your expertise and skill base through various initiatives, including community/volunteer engagement, community event planning, and preparation of a complete marketing plan.
For more information or to apply through the Americorps program, click here. |

Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative |
We are introducing our Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, which helps homeowners with repair from natural disasters, neglect due to financial hardship, and physical inability.
In combination with our affordable homeownership program, we will impact twice as many families in the next three years as we have done in the previous twenty. That's almost 100 families who will benefit from Habitat's services!
Click here to donate to HFHMC and thanks to anonymous donor and matching challenge, your gift will be double if received by June 30! |
We have an immediate need for weekday volunteers at both our Upper Dublin site and our Norristown site through June 14. We'll be working on the finishing touches (painting, trimwork, installing shelving and doors, etc.) to get our partner families into their homes as soon as possible.
Please e-mail ktobin@habitatmontco.org to check availability and register. |

Cornerstone Education Program Graduation |
Drills were humming; hammers, thumping; and minds, engaging, as May offered this spring's last two sessions in HFHMC's Cornerstone Educational Workshops series. A huge shout-out and many thanks go out to Tameka Bryant and Travis Tuscai of Bank of America for presenting the "Financial Literacy" workshop, and to Josh Gieske, HFHMC's very own construction manager, who wrapped up the workshop series with "Basic Home Repair and Maintenance." Perhaps most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS to this spring's class of Cornerstone grads: Shawnette, Peggy, Alberta, Colleen, and April, all of whom will be buying their homes in June - and are now ready to do so! |

A special thanks to TRS Designs, Inc. for their generous donation of cabinets in two of our recent Habitat homes. Owner Thomas Richard has long been a supporter of Habitat for Humanity and has pledged that a percentage of his revenue will be allocated to providing cabinets for Habitat homes in our county! Click here to check out his amazing photo gallery and to daydream of how he can transform any room in your home!
Collaboration with companies and organizations is essential for Habitat to fight poverty housing in our community. Click here for a list of our May partners and to find out how you can team up with HFHMC. |
