Earth Day Celebration at the ReStore |
|
Thanks to all who visited us on Earth Day at the ReStore! And, a very special thank you to our volunteer group from AU PAIR USA. Several hundred folks joined us as we celebrated more than 360 TONS of diverted materials from local landfills since our opening almost 3 years ago. Of course, the benefits of the ReStore go far beyond the materials diverted and great deals for customers. We are able to use funds from the sale of donated new and gently used appliances, cabinets, furniture, and other building supplies to repair and build homes in partnership with families currently living in substandard housing. Please consider donating your items in good condition to increase our impact on substandard housing in Montgomery County. |

Here's to New Beginnings! I love spring. I love it for the new beginnings it brings - the flowers waking up, the baby geese following their mamas and the fresh smell of cut grass wafting across the countryside... Click here to read the full story |

Bank of America Volunteers in Upper Dublin |
We would like to thank our partners at Bank of America for putting up drywall at Linden Avenue last week! Bank of America has a strong commitment to affordable housing and homelessness prevention and as such has entered into a national partnership with Habitat for Humanity International. We are thrilled to be part of this national initiative, but they also partner with us on a local level too - coming out to volunteer and supporting our Cornerstone program by helping our families understand budgeting, saving and predatory lending. Thank you Bank of America for a great day! |
