Tax Law Changes Image New Tax Rates May Benefit You
On Wednesday, January 2, President Obama signed the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012The new law gives taxpayers new or re-established avenues to support their favorite non-profit organizations. While this is not positive news for some of us, this may have donors and some folks thinking about gifting appreciated securities, real estate and valuable collectibles to non-profits in order to avoid higher tax rates.
This page on the new tax laws will provide you with additional information and ways to direct your philanthropy. Email Michael Buckley, Director of Development, or call 518.694.7126. All inquiries are held in confidence.
