August 30th was a beautiful day and everyone was looking their best for our Graduation Ceremony, held at Fulford Academy, for our Summer School students.

In front of family, staff and fellow peers, students from eight different countries received their academic  certificates, awards and accolades. Two of our students, Ksenia Varenova and Evgeniya (Jane) Gontova, gave a speech about their time here at Fulford.

At the end of the ceremony, prestigious awards were handed out. This year, the winner of the Faculty Award goes to Zining (Hannah) Zhao, The Kendall Cup to Peet Brecht, The Fulford Cup to Zhilin (Eileen) Xu and both The Student Award and The Williams Award to Nina Haag. During the Summer School Program, Fulford initiated the English Only Award and six of our students received recognition for their hard work to only speak English during their time at Fulford. Those students are Zining (Hannah) Zhao, Peet Brecht, Nina Haag, Yuri Asami, Evgeniya (Jane) Gontova and Hiromu Yamawaki.    

Jones House

Fulford has four Houses: Beatty, Jones, Fraser and Green. Evgeniya (Jane) Gontova was awarded House leader for Fraser, Yuxuan (Max) Jiang for Beatty, Peet Brecht for Jones and Naoko Takechi for Green. The Best House during the Summer School Program was Jones House.

We had a wonderful group of students and wish them all the best in their future studies.

It was a wonderful group of students here at Fulford, and throughout the Summer School Program, they were able to participate in our in-house Olympics, visit Ottawa, Montreal and many places in the surrounding area like St. Lawrence Park.   

Fulford Academy has created a blog so friends, family and students can read articles about out weekend trips, our Academics and what is happening in the classroom and any other news happening here at Fulford.
