Sunday

Our Hebrews sermon series includes one of the toughest New Testament sentences this week.

We are encouraged to finish well, and are warned about falling away from our faith.

Hebrews 6:4-20

Hope to see you this Sunday. (Have you heard of church father, Polycarp?)
ADULT EDUCATION CLASS

We are excited to offer an adult education class that started January 10. Pastor Roger and Glenn Simon co-lead a reading and discussion of Tim Keller's sensational book, Prayer. Sign-up is requested. The course runs for a total of 11 weeks on Sunday mornings, starting at 8:55 am in Room 123 (first classroom on the right in the children's hallway).
Giving Statements

Tax time is upon us. Please see Kevin Stone in the lobby before or after Sunday service to pick up your 2015 Giving Statement. Any questions, feel free to contact Kevin, 913-284-6400.
Thank You from Children's Ministry

A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended the Children's Ministry Luncheon! We appreciate all your feedback, comments, and suggestions. We also want to thank those of you who helped us set up/tear down, brought cookies, and signed up to help our ministry in the future. It was greatly appreciated!

Emily and Amber
Garden of Eatin' and Giving Grove

Thank you to two new volunteers - Marilyn Combellick who has agreed to serve as Event Planner for the garden and Ron Garrette who will be one of our Stewards for the grove. We still need co-leaders, a produce coordinator, a snack provider, and construction of a new lean-to, fruit canopy, and perimeter flower box. For details contact Laura Horn, 816-350-2663 or Sharon Baldwin, 816-674-8450.

There will be a Garden Team Meeting this Sunday, January 24, right after church.

Congregational Meeting & Soup Cook-Off

A Homemade Soup Cook-Off is on for January 31 right after the annual congregational meeting.

Like last year's chili-fest, it will include competition, awards, and fun.

(Meeting first though!)
2017 Church Camp
