Our text this Sunday is Romans 12:1 and Matthew 13:44-46.

Our Sunday worship service discusses how we can give God what He really wants. It's the second sermon in the True Spirituality series.  
Fall Small Groups

Deerbrook has good success forming new small groups this fall. Being involved in a small group is a great way to get better connected, support each other in our journey, socialize, and learn.

The material for this 6-week study is "True Spirituality, Becoming a Romans 12 Christian." 

It's not too late to start. There are a few mid-week study groups that have not yet started, and you are always welcome to join one of the Sunday evening groups that meet at Deerbrook at 6:30 p.m. There's a place for everyone!

The devotional and workbooks will be available Sunday for $20.
Help Send a Work Group to Jamaica
Jamaica
A group of 10 adults, led by Nick & Emily Wages, will be traveling to Harmons, Jamaica Oct. 4-11 with the ministry Won By One.  They will be doing various work projects, including building houses.

If you would like to be a part of their journey please stop by the foyer to play "Jamaican Me Crazy" which helps with their food supply needs and money for baggage fees. You might win a prize! Thanks so much!
Missionary Visit Next Month
Julio & Katie Isaza, who serve with Covenant World Missions in Medellin, Colombia, along with their two young sons, will be here October 16 - 18.  We will have a Friday night information session, a church trip to the zoo on Saturday afternoon, and a brief lunch on Sunday at noon. Please plan on getting to know the Isaza family and their story.
Baptism
Sunday, October 4

We will celebrate a Baptism service on October 4. If you are interested in identifying yourself through baptism as a follower of Jesus, please mark Baptism on your communication card, or talk with Pastor Roger.
Annual Fall Youth Retreat
The Annual Fall Youth Retreat will be Friday, November 20 at 4:00 p.m. to Sunday, November 22 at 9:00 a.m.  It will be held this year at the Youth Front Camp West Retreat in Edgerton, KS.  Cost: $55 before October 31; $65 November 1 or later.  Reservations should be made with Preston.
2017 Family Camp
We had such a great time at Family Camp this year that we've already scheduled one for 2017.  Once again, we will go to the YMCA of the Rockies for a fun-filled week.  The dates are June 25 to July 1, 2017.  We will begin taking reservations on Sunday, September 27.
