NC Science Festival at Marbles

Marbles is excited to participate in the 3rd Annual NC Science Festival. Hands-on activities span the length of the festival and are made for our community's youngest chemists, physicists, geologists and more. *The museum will be closed on Monday, April 8 and Monday, April 15.

Family Science Fair

The Family Science Fair at Marbles is a collaboration of Marbles Kids Museum and the NC Department of Public Instruction. Two ways to take part: Sign-up to display your own project in our non-competitive fair or simply explore others' creations and investigations. Winnie the Pooh Storytime with ABC11 news anchor John Clark
featuring special appearances by Winnie the Pooh and Rabbit
Friday, April 12 | 10:30am
Join ABC11 anchor John Clark for a special reading of an excerpt from A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh. Meet Winnie the Pooh and Rabbit before they hit the stage at Storybook Theater's Disney's Winnie the Pooh, Kids on April 12-14 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorum.
Friends of Marbles receive discounts on single tickets and season packages. Tickets available at Marbles Corner Store for select performances. A portion of proceeds benefits Marbles Kids Museum.

Moneypalooza Play Days

Play in a favorite exhibit in a whole new way. Pizza Fractions, Coin Twister and other payday play for kids and families. Explore creative ways to spend, save and share the treasures of your piggy bank. *The museum will close at 4pm on April 27 in preparation for Marbles Imagination Ball. |
Butterfly Bash in IMAX at Marbles

IMAX at Marbles takes you inside the magic of a butterfly's world! Begin with a screening of the Flight of the Butterflies 3D nature movie and stay for the Butterfly Bash, hands-on activities and imaginative play all about butterflies. Earth Day Celebration and "Growing Up Green" Mural Unveiling
Saturday, April 20 | Museum open 9am-5pm
Celebrate Earth Day the Marbles way! Show your support for a healthy planet and join in green activities. *The Earth Day Celebration is part of the NC Science Festival.
Activities include:
- Grand unveiling of our "Growing Up Green" mural, in partnership with
Duke Energy. - Castaway Cove Kids Garden Planting (9-11am): Bring your green thumb and dig in! Spring is here, and we need your help to plant our garden.
- Earth Day Play, including solar energy exploration, cloud science and making new creations out of recycled materials.

 Around Town Closing on May 7 for Exciting Changes
Around Town will be temporarily closing for exciting changes! Kids will soon get to experience modern North Carolina agriculture in a new On the Farm exhibit and will enjoy expanded train tables and a renovated performance stage for puppet play. To accommodate these exciting renovations, Around Town will close on Tuesday, May 7 with a grand re-opening set for Saturday, June 1. |
Farm-Fresh Flavors Coming to Marbles
Pogo, a creative and vibrant eatery with a focus on fresh, local and healthy options will open this summer in the IMAX building. Eat. Drink. Pogo.
