 2015 was a great year for economic development and growth in Lee County. The proof is in a few recent headlines: - Manpower Group ranked Lee County No. 1 for the strongest job prospects in 2016
- Bloomberg Business ranked Lee County No. 4 for most economic growth in 2016
- Governing.com ranked Lee County No. 10 among the top counties where people are moving
This year the Lee County Economic Development Office (EDO) traveled over 16,000 miles on sales missions, closed multiple relocation and expansion projects - one of which is profiled in this newsletter, launched a new marketing campaign, spearheaded several new economic development initiatives, and helped the Horizon Foundation set a new fundraising record. All of these efforts have created the perfect springboard for 2016.
To capitalize on this position, our marketing efforts will continue to focus on telling Lee County's story through channels such as a redesigned and evolving website, increased social media presence, earned media visits and direct contact with site selection consultants and C-level executives. Utilizing these tools, along with the support of the Horizon Council, Horizon Foundation and Industrial Development Authority, we will continue to spread the word that Lee County is
