A Message from Denis Noah, Chairman of the Horizon Council

If you are reading this newsletter you are already keenly aware of the strides Lee County has made in creating, maintaining and growing its business climate. It is paramount for us to capitalize on our successes and communicate those stories, as well as Lee County's story, to others.

Our goal is to reach high level decision makers in key industries that we have identified as fitting well into Lee County's business community. In this edition of EconomicLee Speaking you will learn more about how we recently hosted an inbound technology journalist, one of the pivotal ways we are connecting with the information technology industry which has seen considerable growth in Lee County.

In April, the Lee County EDO was honored to host renowned tech journalist, Michael Kassner, a freelance writer who regularly contributes to publications such as TechRepublic and CBS Interactive. Hosting national journalists like Mr. Kassner gives us a unique opportunity to spotlight some of the thriving technology-based businesses here as well as showcase the incredible quality of life in Lee County.

We hope you enjoy reading about Mr. Kassner's visit and some of the other work we do to keep Lee County at the forefront of Florida's economic development boom.

Sincerely,
Denis Noah, Chairman of the Horizon Council
