The New York Hilton Midtown is eliminating 55 jobs
when it shuts down room service on Aug. 20, but its
employees are hardly crying. Many of them hit the 
jackpot with a sweet deal Hilton recently hammered out
with the New York Hotel & Motel Trades Council, which
represents the employees.
Casino operator Caesars Entertainment Corp. posted a smaller loss for its fiscal second quarter on Monday, but results still missed expectations, as slots and tables drew fewer gamblers.
