Snow Contest

Our second social media contest was inspired by
the winter weather we had here in Winston Salem, NC. We asked people to send in their snow photos & the one with the most 'likes' won. Check out our

Social Media Workshop
 
In our Making the Most of Your Facebook Page workshop we will teach participants to optimize and utilize their Facebook pages for maximum exposure and results.
  
Date: Saturday, April 26 
Time: 2 - 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $30
Location: Community Arts Cafe (Map)  
 
Facebook Like From beginners to advanced Facebook users we will cover everything from the basics, to content, to marketing a Facebook page and everything in between. Numerous examples will be provided in the workshop to enhance topics covered.

Save the Date! Our First Annual Marketing Fair
 
We are very excited to announce we will be hosting a Marketing Fair this summer!

What is a Marketing Fair? It is a place where business owners and those who run marketing departments can go to see what resources are available in the Triad for their marketing efforts.
  
Date: Saturday, July 19 
Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Cost: Free (Workshops each cost a fee though)
Location: Community Arts Cafe (Map

Happenings at the event will include:
  • Expo style marketing related vendors/sponsors (If you're interested in being a sponsor please email us
  • Multiple workshops, including ones on Marketing & Photography
  • Kids event (Dance or acting workshop) - so you can network and browse the tables while your kids are entertained! 
  • Live music
  • Free professional headshots
  • Business card drawings & giveaways
  • Food (for purchase)
  • Raffles
  • Fair followed by networking wine & cheese event
This is going to be a great event to build your marketing efforts, gain some marketing & business tips, network with other business owners & marketing professionals and have fun! More details coming soon on our website! 
Horizons Contest
 
Last month we ran a contest on our Facebook page where various local photographers and citizens sent in their horizons photos. The photo with the most 'likes' was the winner of a $25 gift card to Mary's Gourmet Diner and we made their photo our cover photo on Facebook.

We are happy to announce the winning photo was this stunning shot of Long Island by Jenna Domingo of Jenna Domingo Photography.

2014 Photographer of the Month Campaign
 
If you missed in our January/February Newsletter we announced our 2014 Photographer of the Month campaign featuring and celebrating local photographers - a new one each month!  
 

Photos are the cornerstone of marketing so we want our fellow local small businesses to be aware of all the great options they have in the area for photographers. The perfect image of a product, service or even a small businesses' employee(s) goes a long way in marketing efforts!
