Where: Will now be held at La Louisiane Banquet Hall, 5509 Hwy. 14 in New Iberia, La.
Details:
Les Cadiens du Teche, the New Iberia Chapter of the Cajun French Music Association, will hold its Cajun Music Festival Sept. 17, 2016 at New Iberia City Park. The event will feature live Cajun music, dancing, food, door prizes, a raffle and cake walks.
Registration opens at 9 a.m. with the festival welcome by the Cajun Music Festival chairman, pledge of allegiance and opening prayer all in French starting at 9:30 a.m.
Bands include Wallace Trahan & Rice and Gravy, Tony Bruce and Jeff Dugan & the Hwy. 329 Band.
Pork stew, pastalaya, hamburgers with chips, as well as sweets and drinks, will be served. Admission is $10 for adults. Children 12 and under get in free.
The Cajun French Music Association is an organization whose goal is to promote, encourage and preserve the Cajun culture. The CFMA is a national organization with 11 chapters located in Louisiana, Texas and Chicago.
