NEW IBERIA, La. --- The speakers for the first annual Dave Robicheaux's Hometown Literary Festival have been announced.
Authors/Publishers Roundtable: "Storytellers Limited" will see authors and publishers gather in a roundtable discussion on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at the Sliman Theater at 129 E. Main St. in New Iberia. The participants include:

- Pamela Binnings Ewen
- Vicky Branton
- Roger Mohn
- Rob Schaufler
Symposium: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's symposium, "Dave Robicheaux and Acadiana" will be split into two sessions on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Shadows-on-the-Teche's visitor center located at 320 E. Main St. in New Iberia.
The first session, "The Soul of Dave Robicheaux" from 10 a.m. - noon will conclude with a discussion and will showcase:
- Suzanne Dugas - Introductions/Moderator
- Barbara Bogue - "The Soul of Dave Robicheaux"
- Shane Bernard - "Dave Robicheaux: The Cajun Context"
- Kathryn Dubus - "James Lee Burke: The Author"
Barbara Bogue is the author of a Critical Study entitled, "James Lee Burke and the Soul of Dave Robicheaux." Shane Bernard's work includes the book "The Americanization of the Cajun Culture" and an upcoming work on the Bayou Teche. Kathryn Dubus is a first cousin of James Lee Burke and the sister of Andre Dubus, another writer with Louisiana roots.
The second session, "Place in the Identity of Regional Writers" from 2 - 5 p.m. will feature the following authors and how "place" plays a part in their works. Sally O Donlon will be the moderator and the panel will conclude with a discussion. In addition to their credentials, the five presenters have roots in New Iberia, Mississippi, and Acadiana: - Sam Irwin
