NEW IBERIA, La. --- Discover Iberia, the official community magazine for Iberia Parish has a new look. The magazine is published by Acadiana Media Ventures in cooperation with Iberia Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, Iberia Parish Government, Iberia Industrial Development Foundation and the City of New Iberia.
"Iberia Parish has a great story to tell," said Mike Tarantino, Iberia Industrial Development Foundation's president/CEO. "It's a place for great business opportunities and a great place to live and raise a family. Discover Iberia and its new digital platform will help us tell the story to a wider and more diverse audience."
Aimed at both residents and visitors, the publication highlights Iberia's unique business, tourism and quality of life assets. It is mobile-friendly and available online and on newsstands parish wide at locations like the Iberia Parish Welcome Center, IDF and the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce.
The latter introduced Discover Iberia at its annual banquet in January.
"At the outset, I was hoping for a finished product that would make Iberia shine and the magazine does just that," said Janet Faulk-Gonzales, chamber president/ CEO. "It's informative, attractive and compelling, showing diversity of economy, culture, and activity. I am excited to see Iberia show up in such a positive way."
"We are very pleased with the new layout and design of the magazine," said Fran Thibodeaux, Iberia Parish CVB executive director. "The tourism asset listings which were in the former guide will be in the new visitor guide to be published soon. Both the Discover Iberia magazine and new visitor guide (print and digital versions) will be official responses to our inquiries."
