March 1 - 31, 2016 - New Iberia Azalea Trail - Delicate  azaleas bloom early each spring flooding the landscape with a sea of red, pink, white, purple and salmon. March 9, 2016 - Evangeline League & the Jeanerette Blues Talk - Dr. J. Paul Leslie of Nicholls State University will lead a discussion on the history of the Evangeline League in rural Louisiana from the 1930s to 1950s. Teams included the Jeanerette Blues, New Iberia Cardinals, Abbeville Athletics and Houma Indians. Over 60 players from the Evangeline League went on to play in the majors. The intensive instruction will cover how to simplify and massing the vastness of landscape along with a study of value and color. Marketing programs target leisure travelers, business travelers, media, entertainment industry, and the travel trade including group tour planners, meeting planners, sports planners and special event planners.
