Party at Dave Robicheaux's Hometown Gala
|
WHO: Bayou Teche Museum, New Iberia Museum Foundation and IberiaBank
WHAT: Party at Dave Robicheaux's Hometown Gala
WHERE: 131 E. Main Street, New Iberia, La.
WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
DETAILS:
The annual Night at the Museum Gala is the premier social event of the year in New Iberia and the main fundraiser for the Bayou Teche Museum. The public's generous contributions will help them grow and expand, providing the region with even more educational opportunities and unique gathering spaces.
The gala theme this year is a preview of plans for the inaugural Dave Robicheaux Hometown Literary Festival to be held this April in New Iberia.
Throughout the night, the museum will offer attendees a chance to "visit" with Dave Robicheaux and friends while dining on scrumptious food from regional restaurants.
As usual, the live and silent auctions will include items and experiences available only through the Bayou Teche Museum auction. Sen. Fred Mills has again graciously accepted to be the auctioneer.
The museum will unveil two special preview exhibits, The Saga of the Acadians featuring 15 original oil paintings by George Rodrigue, as well as the attraction's new permanent Civil War exhibit, researched and formatted by local historian Shane Bernard.
To reserve your $50/person ticket, contact Marcia Patout at (337) 606-5977 or [email protected]
