The Jeanerette Museum will present, NASA: Before the Curtain Goes Up, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Paul Darby, Ph.D of the University of Louisiana Lafayette will lead the presentation discussing little known facts about NASA missions from the moon walks to the Space Shuttle and Space Station.

Paul J. Darby III, P.E. is known as an expert in aerospace technology and was presented the highest award NASA gives to civilians. He is currently Assistant Professor of University of Louisiana Lafayette's Electrical and Computer Engineering. His experience includes 23 years in the power, automation, commercial electrical, telecommunications, computer, and aerospace industries and 12 years in academia. His aerospace experience includes reliability and systems safety engineering on space shuttle and space station projects.

In 1985, NASA astronauts awarded Darby the Silver Snoopy for outstanding support that greatly enhanced flight safety and mission success on the space shuttle project.
