AVERY ISLAND, La. --- The Jungle Gardens at Avery Island will host the second annual Jungle Gardens 5K, Trail Run, Stroll, and 1 Mile Fun Run on Nov. 7, 2015. 

The event will begin at 8 a.m. with a full schedule of events. The running event will be immediately followed by food, entertainment, and awards. All entrants will have a full day pass to explore the gardens and enjoy the area. The race will include a new 4.5 mile trail run, as well as a stroll for those who would just like to walk the course and enjoy the scenery.

The event is being sponsored by Fire & Safety Specialists and organized by Team FSS St. Jude. Team FSS will donate all proceeds to St. Jude Children's Hospital and is expecting a large field of runners and walkers for the second annual event.

The course will be unique to other races in the area and will feature hills that no other area race can match. The course layout will make for a tough and rewarding run, excellent for advanced as well as novice runners. The scenic beauty will only add to the great experience of the day.

About Team FSS
Team FSS St. Jude was organized in 2012 to provide fundraising for the hospital. The group organizes fundraising events throughout the year and participates in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend each December.
