NEW IBERIA, La.--- Haven't you always wanted to experience what it was like to search for buried treasure? The thrill of the chase and the journey that ensues? Well, here's your chance to live your own adventure and make a few family memories along the way. Sign up for IberiaHunt15, the Iberia Parish photo scavenger hunt!
In honor of Le Grand R�veil Acadien (The Great Acadian Awakening) 2015, Iberia Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting a photo scavenger hunt for visitors and locals to explore Iberia Parish in a more interactive and creative way, they may not have thought of. The key word here is photo. The way this hunt will differ from a normal scavenger hunt is that what you will be searching for is not an object...but memories.
Contest
The contest will run Sat. Oct. 3, - Sun. Oct. 11, 2015. Participants will take photos at locations for points specified on the checklist and submit it to IPCVB. The team who captures the most photos and earns the most points by the end of the contest will win our grand prize and will be featured on our social media accounts as well as in our monthly consumer and partner newsletters! Visit our website to register. All you have to do is pick a team captain and fill out the IberiaHunt15 registration form any time before or during the contest run time, but no registrations will be accepted after Oct. 11. Participants must pay entrance fees for all attractions, locations, etc. By participating participants acknowledge they must use their own funds to pay for all activities involved.
Prizes
- 3rd Place: 1 gumbo apron and 1 gumbo bowl, 2 all access passes to Iberia Parish attractions
- 2nd Place: 2 signed 2015 gumbo cookoff posters, 2 all access passes to Iberia Parish attractions
- 1st place: 2 free all-inclusive admissions for all activities at the 2016 Dave Robicheaux Literary Festival and 4 all access passes to Iberia Parish attractions.
Dates to Know
- All photos must be submitted by Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 10 p.m. CST by team captains only. Any photos received after this time will not be accepted for the contest.
- Contest runs Saturday, Oct. 3- Sunday, Oct. 11.
- Email registration, or fill out form at Iberia Parish Visitor Center, any time before or during the contest run time. No registration will be accepted after Oct. 11.

Cajun Quiz
IPCVB will also be holding a Cajun Quiz contest from Oct. 5-8 (participation only available at the Welcome Center located at 2513 Hwy. 14 New Iberia, LA). The winner will receive $100 in Gumbo Bucks and a judging spot for the World Championship Gumbo Cookoff on Oct. 10-11. The quiz asks 10 questions about the area and our attractions. The winner will be selected on Friday, Oct. 9 and notified to come pick up their prize for the weekend's events.
