WHAT: Shadows Arts and Crafts Fair
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
WHERE: 317 East Main St. New Iberia, La.
The Shadows-on-the-Teche Fall Arts and Crafts Fair will take place in the Shadows gardens on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 100 vendors from around the state will exhibit and sell their original work. Admission to the fair is $5 per person (12 and older) and $3 for children (ages 6-11), and includes a tour of the Shadows. This year, in conjunction with the Grand R�veil Acadien celebration, tours in French will be offered during the afternoon for interested guests.
Raffle tickets will be sold to win items donated by the vendors. In addition to the arts and crafts, food and dessert vendors will sell tasty treats to enjoy while shopping! Come spend the day with your family and friends while supporting local artists, craftsmen, and the beautiful Shadows-on-the-Teche.
Here are only a few of the participating vendors. The Bonins will return with their beautifully crafted wooden items. Causey's Creation from Patterson will be selling driftwood art and ornaments. French Metal makes handmade 3-D metal paintings.
HENRI's baked goods and the kettle corn vendors sell products with fragrances enticing shoppers to their booths. Carved wood items and hand turned pens by Traditional Crafts are new to the show. Bain Amour Bath and Body Company will sell bath products crafted from goat's milk. These and many more will be available.
Attending the Arts & Crafts Fair is a good way to start your holiday shopping! All funds raised will be used for the continued preservation and maintenance of Shadows-on-the-Teche, a National Trust Historic Site.
