WHERE: New Iberia City Park, 300 Parkview Dr., New Iberia, La.
DETAILS:
On Saturday, July 25, 2015, the Diabetic Kitchen will host the "Fitness Challenge 5K Walk/Run for a cure of diabetes in New Iberia City Park.
This event will highlight the need for better attention in the areas of health and nutrition for all ages. At the end of the walk/run, there will be physical fitness challenges stations available for participants.
The Diabetic Kitchen is a diabetes support/management group whose purpose is to provide support, assist with management and educate anyone seeking news or information regarding diabetes or Alzheimer.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a prayer and warm-up exercise at 8:20 a.m. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The cost to participate is $10 for adults 18 and over, $5 for ages 12-17 and free for ages 11 and under. Teams of five will be $40.
